Cover design can make the difference between good and poor book store sales, and is probably the most important first consideration in respect to marketing any product. The cover is after all the window to the world. It's the first thing the buyer sees, and as many buyers purchase on impulse simply by what's there and reading the brief on the back, it makes sense to spend some time and effort on presenting your book in the best possible light.

There is only one option that I have to offer at present on this service, and it applies regardless of content. Option 1 You provide several general ideas of what you would like to have on your cover, and where possible photos or other graphics. You also provide, if it is completed, an electronic copy of the manuscript that will eventually be behind the cover. We read the story and come up with some of our own ideas. I discuss them all with you and we decide where we are headed. Then my team and I go to work and prepare a couple of rough-ups which I then discuss with you and make a final decision on. We then prepare the finished article and send it to you in a print ready format that the publisher can use without modification. Now, though it is generally never mentioned by a publisher when accepting a manuscript for which a cover has yet to be created, and which the publisher is required to create or have created, there are copyright considerations, and they will generally belong to whoever creates the image. When I accept an assignment to create a cover I expect to be paid for my work, but I have no interest in retaining or being involved in the copyright and it is transferred to the client with the completed product. I charge a one time fee of EURO 650, which includes an initial EURO 250 Evaluation Fee that must accompany the manuscript and other details. Once I accept the assignment the balance is paid and the product is sent by secure electronic transfer and by registered post on data CD within the specified time frame. There are no restrictions regards content with this service. Evaluation Fee To cover the time I would need to spend to evaluate the assignment and prepare a report and agreement, you would advance an initial evaluation fee of EURO €250.
